First Holy Communion 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to inform you that preparations are beginning for the children who wish to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion this year. This is a very special step in your child’s faith journey, and we look forward to supporting them—and you—through this important time.
Please note that these sacraments are for Baptised Catholic children in Year 3 or above.

As part of the preparation programme, there will be a Commitment Mass on Sunday 25th January at Our Lady of the Angels Church at 9.30 am. We kindly ask that all children hoping to make their First Holy Communion attend this Mass with their families. During the service, the children will be invited to make a simple commitment as they begin their preparation.
In addition, Reconciliation classes will begin on Wednesday 28th January. These sessions are an essential part of the programme and will help the children understand and prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to receiving the Eucharist. All following lessons will continue on a Wednesday 3.15-4.00 pm at the school.
