Fairtrade award

| Our Lady's primary school has been awarded and maintained Fairtrade status for the previous two years and February 2014 was our renewal date. Fairtrade Schools have now changed their award system meaning that schools can now be awarded with three different progressive awards. These awards are 'FairAware', 'FairActive' and 'FairAchiever'. FairAware is the first Fairtrade Schools Award, and supports your school to find out about Fairtrade activities already going on in school, and learn about issues around Fairtrade. After doing a Fairtrade learning activity and finding out how much Fairtrade is already used in your school you can move onto FairActive and start taking action for Fairtrade! The final step in the Fairtrade Schools Award is FairAchiever. At this point the school has fully embedded Fairtrade into their daily life and work to raise awareness of Fairtrade in their local community. Having recently been assessed Our Ladys has been awarded the top level and is now a 'FairAchiever School'!!
