🌿 We’ve Retained Our Platinum Eco-Schools Status! 🌿
We are thrilled to announce that our school has successfully retained its Platinum Eco-Schools status - a prestigious recognition of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental education.
This achievement reflects the incredible dedication of our pupils, staff, and wider school community. Each class has played a vital role in our Eco-Schools journey, conducting Environmental Review surveys and feeding their findings into our Eco-Schools Action Plan. A standout example includes Year 4’s inspiring work last year learning about bees, while other year groups contributed by building bug hotels to enhance biodiversity on our school grounds.
We’ve also strengthened our community partnerships, working closely with the Litter and Fly-tipping Prevention Officer from TCBC and our own Site Manager, Joe Natale, to support our environmental goals.
Our Eco-Committee continues to lead with passion and purpose, tackling challenges like reducing paper waste and finding creative ways to meet and share ideas. Their ownership and impact are truly inspiring!
As part of our ongoing commitment, we’ll be reviewing our Eco-Code to ensure it reflects our current values and goals.
