  • Summer Reading Challenge Update

Fri 08 Sep 2023 Torfaen Libraries

Dear staff and pupils of Our Lady of the Angels RC Primary school,

The Torfaen Libraries team would like to say how overwhelmed we were at the fantastic response by children to our Summer Reading Challenge this year – we had well over 1000 starters across the county!

We want to give every child the opportunity to finish this year’s Summer Reading Challenge - there’s still time to complete the challenge.

The challenge will run up to (and including) Monday 25 September so there’s a fortnight for everyone to finish, pick up their certificate and get entered into this year’s grand prize draw.

It’s been brilliant seeing the children in the library this Summer and we hope to see everyone again soon, whether it’s to borrow from our new stock of books or to take part in library events this Autumn.

Kind regards and all the best for the Autumn term.

    Matthew Geary

    Absence Procedures

If your child is absent from school it is important that you contact the school by 9.30am on the first day of non-attendance to give the reason for their absence.
